There is something magical in the setting of the sun. Watching the sunset while relaxing at the end of the day, seems to generate feelings of security and fulfillment. Movie makers of days gone by knew how to use the magic and drama of the sunset by allowing the good guy in a white hat to ride a white horse off into the sunset after saving the town from the bad guys.
There are times when the setting of the sun creates different emotions. For instance, it is very somber to stand on the beach the evening of your last vacation day and watch the sun set on your vacation.
As Christians the setting of the sun should be a reminder that we need each other. Every Christian needs the encouragement of another Christian on a daily basis to help them be most effective in service to God. Hebrews 3:23 is an exhortation for Christians to encourage each other on a daily basis. We are to encourage each other each day, while it is still called today.
So remember my fellow brothers and sisters on this journey through eternal life, encourage someone before sunset. After the encouragement, then you can mount your white horse and ride off into the sunset being victorious over the bad guy through the blood of Jesus Christ.
