Jesus Christ is absolute perfect love personified, and perfect love casts out fear.  Christians make many bad decisions based on unnecessary fear.  There is no threat that can be made by the world or the devil that cannot be overcome by God.  King Nebuchadnezzar learned this lesson the hard way.  When Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego refused to bow to King Neb’s false gods he made and followed through with the following threat,

  … but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who shall deliver you out of my hands? (Daniel 3:15, KJV)

But after losing his strongest men to the heat of the fiery furnace that he ordered the strong men to cast Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego into, and after seeing the three men loosed from their bonds and walking in the fire with a fourth man who looked like and was the Son of God, and after the three men of God came out completely unharmed and without even the smell of smoke on them, then King Nebuchadnezzar ate his words and made the following statement.

… Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and

    Abednego, who hath sent His angel, and delivered His

    servants that trusted in Him, and have changed the king’s 

    word, and yielded their bodies that they might not serve

    nor worship any god, except their own God.  (Daniel 3:28, KJV)

Nebuchadnezzar then made it illegal for any of his subjects to say anything negative about the Most High God.  So when it comes to obeying the first three of the Ten Commandments, being faithful to only worship The One and Only True and Living God, you can even play with fire without getting burned. Turn loose today of everything fear has caused you to hold back from God.
